Who We Are

The Community of Cooperation (KoGe) was founded in 2012 as a network of like-minded faith- and human-rights-based Swiss organisations with the overall goal of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of its member’s cooperation programmes in the South. To this end, the KoGe built up a vibrant learning community that provides an important platform for learning and exchange.

In two thematic learning groups we learn together, create synergies and experiment with new models and tools of collaboration. Since May 2019 the KoGe is a registered association according to Swiss law. Our operations as an independent association and umbrella organisation started in January 2021.

Our Structure

The association Community of Cooperation (KoGe) was founded in May 2019. Its supreme body is called the General Assembly and is composed of the representatives of all its member organisations. The KoGe Secretariat based in Basel is responsible for the operations of the association. KoGe’s External Quality Commission (EQC) is based on a collaboration with the  Centre on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding (CCDP) of the Graduate Institute Geneva.
